Minister of Higher Education, Information Technology and Biotechnology CN Ashwath Narayan urged the farming community and other stakeholders in the farming sector to use digital technology to add value to agricultural products.
Interacting with industrialists at Gulbarga University here on Tuesday, he reiterated his government’s commitment to provide hassle-free land, infrastructure, permits and other incentives to industrialists who wish to establish their units outside Bengaluru. .
âDigital technology is increasingly used in agriculture. Industrialists in the agricultural sector need to use this technology to add value to agriculture. As part of our Beyond Bengaluru program, we encourage manufacturers to locate their units outside the state capital. Our government is committed to providing all possible infrastructure and incentives for entrepreneurs to expand industrialization statewide. There are a number of cases of successful entrepreneurs outside of Bengaluru. Their successes will encourage others in rural areas, âsaid Narayan.
Later, Mr. Narayan interacted with selected writers and discussed the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).
