CDB Rankati launches very first digital art competition ‘CDB Rankati Siththam Roo 2021’

Citizens Development Business Finance PLC, on the occasion of World Children’s Day, announced the launch of its very first digital art competition “CDB Ranketi Siththam Roo 2021”. The initiative will allow children to explore their creativity and express themselves through art and color. The competition will take place virtually in compliance with the health and safety instructions put in place by the authorities.

The ongoing pandemic situation has disrupted the daily lives of children limiting their time outdoors with friends and activities, so in hopes of bringing excitement and smiles to their world, CBD has launched a Island-wide art competition allowing children to create beautiful canvases, bringing their imaginations to life.

‘CBD Rankati Siththam Roo 2021’ is open to children from 5 to 12 years old. Young artists are not limited to a theme and will be allowed to create under a theme of their choice and use a medium that suits them best. “Children are the future of our world and their creative minds can do wonders. For nearly two years, due to the current pandemic situation, their learning outcomes have been confined to a screen. Therefore, for this Children’s Day, in hopes of bringing happiness and excitement to their world, we at CBD wanted to create an opportunity for children to express their talents with color to their through “CBD Ranketi Siththam Roo 2021”. We encourage all parents to inspire their budding artists to enter the competition, ”said Darshana jayasinghe, Senior Deputy Managing Director, Marketing at CDB as he shared his thoughts on the initiative.

Three winners will be selected by a distinguished judge and receive exciting gifts from CDB. The first place winner will receive an ATV, while the second and third place will receive a scooter and a game with a stationery pack respectively. Each participant will receive a precious certificate of participation and will have the opportunity to present their creations in a virtual art exhibition on the occasion of World Children’s Day.
