Over the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about freshening up this blog. Ever since the last WordPress update (3.0) I’ve been having performance issues with my previous theme Rockstar 1.2.1, which was image heavy.
So I’ve gone for a stripped down theme – Magazine Basic, that I hope resolves the performance issues whilst giving a coherent look and feel.
I would welcome your feedback on this new blog format.
I had a great response to the blog post on using social media channels to take the sting out of the recent tube strikes in London. The next tube strike, if it does go ahead, will take place on the 28th November 2010.
Rather than dwell on the negative aspects around the strike I want my fellow commuters to send their online video’s, photos, and personal written experience on how they plan to manage the next strike.
The top 5 entries will then be put to the public vote (X-factor style!!) where the most popular entry will receive a £10 iTunes Gift Voucher.
Go London Go!
I’ve created the following groups where you can upload your photos, videos, and comments
It’s been called a game changer, and the future of computing but here are my reasons why I will not be rushing out to buy  or pre-order the Apple iPad 1.0 just yet
I already own an iPhone
I already own a Mac Powerbook
I can’t make calls (unless I have Skype and a headset)
The stubborn (and strategic) decision by Apple not to allow Flash playback
Developers are only just getting up to speed with creating bespoke Apps for the iPad
Is that the best price they could sell it for? Even without the carrier option and minimum spec the Apple iPad is a premium product
